New Series on Netflix August 2023

The second season of The Lincoln Lawyer continues in August on Netflix and the Heartstopper lovebirds make their return this month as well. In addition, the true drama series Painkiller appears and the young adventurer Monkey is looking for a legendary pirate treasure in One Piece.

In the first season of the romantic teen series, teen Charlie (Joe Locke) fell in love with classmate Nick (Kit Connor). The tough rugby player also turned out to have feelings for him and in the second season their relationship becomes a lot more serious. But Nick doesn’t know how to come out and keeps looking for the perfect time to tell everyone about his sexuality. Heartstopper season 2 will be available on Netflix from August 3.

Painkiller – Season 1

America is grappling with an opioid crisis and the true drama series Painkiller shows the controversial role the pharmaceutical industry has played in this. The company Purdue Pharma comes up with a way to make the painkiller Oxycodone hip and causes countless Americans to become addicted to the drug. Painkiller will be available on Netflix from August 10.

Ballers – Season 1-5

Former football player Spencer Strasmore (Dwayne Johnson) works as a financial manager for NFL players. His job is to manage their finances, but he gets involved in their personal problems again and again and as a result begins to think more and more about his own future. Ballers can be seen on Netflix from August 15.

One Piece – Season 1

The young adventurer Monkey (Iñaki Godoy) is looking for a legendary pirate treasure so he can become the king of the pirates. To achieve his goal, he first needs a ship and crew. During his search, Monkey meets the most diverse figures. One Piece will be available on Netflix from August 31.

The Lincoln Lawyer – Season 2 Part 2

The first part of the second season of The Lincoln Lawyer ended with an attack on Mickey (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo). The top lawyer has been beaten up quite a bit, but that doesn’t stop him from continuing to fight for his client, and former fling, Lisa (Lana Parilla). The Lincoln Lawyer season 2, part 2 will be available on Netflix on August 3.
