New series and shows on Netflix September 2021

In September we say goodbye to Lucifer and we are already preparing for the very last season of La Casa de Papel.

If you are feeling nostalgic Netflix has a handful of movies and shows you likely grew up on hitting this September, including the original Saved by the Bell, A Cinderella Story, Labyrinth, and School of Rock. Inevitable rewatches aren’t all you have to look forward to in September, though. The long-awaited final seasons of hits like Dear White People, Lucifer, and the first half of Money Heist’s last installation all hit streaming. Sex Education also returns, and a very eerie new miniseries called Midnight Mass from horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan is on the way. He created the anthology The Haunting for Netflix as well, so you can bet this supernatural story about the arrival of a mysterious, new priest to a small town is bound to be a creepy one! See what else is coming to Netflix below.

La Casa de Papel: Part 5: Volume 1

The fifth season of La Casa de Papel is the very last and this farewell is postponed as long as possible by cutting the season into two parts. The first five episodes will air on Netflix on September 3, and the last five will air on December 3. In any case, the closing season seems to be a big hit. Locked up in the bank for 100 hours, the gang face their worst enemy yet: the military!

Q-Force – Season 1

After Queer Eye, Netflix has a new queer superhero team. In the comedy animated series Q-Force, a gay super spy comes out and is transferred to West Hollywood as punishment. That doesn’t stop him from fighting crime and he assembles a diverse LGTBQ team to save the world.

Into the Night – Season 2

In the first season of the Belgian thriller series, half of Europe came together to flee from the deadly rays of the sun. The survivors reached a bunker, but in the second season it turns out that they are not so safe there at all. They have to work together with other survivors and that creates many problems and new dangers.

Sex Education – Season 3

The third season of Sex Education is full of big changes. Rector Groff has lost his job and is replaced by the ambitious Hope, who plans to put Moordale back on the map. Otis has also gained a lot of confidence in the meantime, although he still ends up in the most awkward situations.

Lucifer: The Final Season

All good things come to an end and with the sixth season we say goodbye to Netflix’s sexiest devil. At the end of Season 5, Lucifer Morningstar took the place of God, but he is far from ready to be an all-powerful ruler, preferring to solve crimes with Chloe Decker. However, the world cannot do without God and Lucifer must take his responsibility.

Midnight Mass – Season 1

The name Mike Flanagan guarantees rock-solid horror and the creator of Haunting of Hill House has added another new horror series to his resume. Midnight Mass is set on Crocket Island, a gated community shaken by the arrival of a mysterious priest.
