Zhu Yiran, who inherits the traditional craft of Suzhou fan-making from her grandfather, crosses paths with her childhood friend Shen Feng, now a cellular structure engineer recently returned from abroad. Together, they work to protect and preserve the blend of ancient traditions and modern innovations in Suzhou’s evolving story.
